Notice at Collection (California CPRA)

A summary of the categories of information we collect and why. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.

Categories Collected

  • Identifiers — name, email, phone
  • Commercial info — tasks posted/accepted, payouts
  • Geolocation — GPS while using the app (with OS consent)
  • Images/UGC — photos/files uploaded as task proof
  • Internet activity — device and app analytics
  • Payment tokens — processed by our payment service provider

Purposes

  • Match Clients with nearby Agents and verify completion
  • Process payments and Agent payouts
  • Prevent fraud/abuse and secure the Service
  • Support, reliability monitoring, and product analytics

We do not sell personal information. Limited “sharing” for measurement may occur with consent; you can opt out at any time.

Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Task artifacts (e.g., photos, proofs, GPS) are retained for up to 12 months for trust & safety and dispute resolution, then deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is required by law. See data retention.

Your Rights

Access, correction, deletion, portability, limit use of precise geolocation, and opt-out of sale/share. Email privacy@bondknows.com.

Terms of Service

Using BondKnows means agreeing to these terms. We operate a marketplace — not an employer — connecting Clients and independent Agents.

Platform

  • We connect Clients (task posters) and Agents (independent contractors).
  • We’re not a party to contracts between Clients and Agents.

Eligibility & Accounts

  • 18+ and able to form contracts.
  • Provide accurate info; keep credentials secure.

Tasks, Payment & Disputes

  • Clients post lawful, safe tasks with clear pay/time windows.
  • Payouts release after confirmation or objective proof per policy.
  • Disputes are resolved using submitted artifacts and policy.
Venue. California law governs; individual arbitration in San Mateo County, CA (where permitted).

Information We Collect

  • Account & Contact: name, email, phone
  • Location: GPS while using the app (with OS consent)
  • Task artifacts: photos, notes, timestamps
  • Device/Usage: IP, model, events, crashes
  • Payments: tokenized by our payment partner (no full card/bank stored)

How We Use Data

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Service
  • Verify location & identity; prevent fraud/abuse
  • Process charges & payouts
  • Support notifications (opt-out options available)
  • Legal compliance & safety

Retention

Account data: retained while active and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request, unless we must keep it longer for legal reasons. Artifacts: retained up to 12 months then deleted or de-identified unless required otherwise by law.

Independent Contractor Agreement (Agents)

Applies when Agents create an account or accept tasks.

  1. Status. Agent is an independent contractor.
  2. Control & Tools. Agent provides equipment and transport.
  3. Compliance. Agent follows laws and site policies.
  4. Payment. Paid the agreed amount (less fees) upon confirmation or proof.
  5. Taxes. Agent responsible; 1099-NEC where required.
  6. Insurance. Agent responsible unless otherwise stated.
  7. Confidentiality. No disclosure of non-public info.
  8. Ratings. Honest ratings may be visible.

Payout & Tax Policy

  • Payout methods: Venmo, PayPal, bank transfer (availability varies)
  • Timing: Released within 3 business days after confirmation
  • Minimum: $10 to withdraw; dormancy handled per state law
  • Fees: Platform and payment processing fees may apply
  • Tax: 1099-NEC for U.S. Agents with ≥ $600/year; W-9 required

Community Guidelines

  • Respectful conduct; no harassment or hate
  • Lawful, safe tasks; clear instructions and fair pay
  • No fraud, spam/bots, or bypassing payments
  • Share only what’s needed; avoid sensitive personal data
  • Report unsafe or suspicious behavior promptly

For Clients

Post a task? Log in → Post Task → add location, description, pay, and time window.

Trust? Identity checks; time/location-stamped proofs; visible ratings/history.

Not satisfied? Request re-work or escalate within 24 hours; we review artifacts.

For Agents

Getting started: sign up, verify ID, set service area, pick tasks.

When paid? After confirmation (or objective proof) per policy.

Taxes? Independent contractor; 1099-NEC where required.

Security & Safety

  • Encryption in transit; least-privilege access; key rotation
  • Rate-limiting; automated abuse and fraud protection
  • 2FA for admins; optional 2FA for users (coming soon)
